Coming Thursday, November 3, to Portland’s Laurelhurst Theater…
…we invite you to help us launch our new Vimeo distribution of our 2014 feature-length film, and–in the final days before this most important general election in most of our adult lives–to take a trip back to a simpler and more innocent time, eight years ago, when it was only the GOP’s vice presidential nominee who seemed unhinged and capable of destroying the country as we know it if we let their hands anywhere near the levers of Executive Branch power.
We hope you’ll join us for an encore theatrical presentation of the Veeps before there was Veep–Rufus Productions’ seven-years-in-the-making 2014 Portland Film Festival selection and screen adaptation of Bill Kelter and Wayne Shellabarger’s 2008 book, Veeps: Profiles in Insignificance.
WHERE:
Laurelhurst Theater
2735 E Burnside
Portland, Oregon
WHEN:
Thursday, November 3, 2016, 9:00 PM
WHY:
Because if the pollsters are wrong this time, we are going to lose a lot more than a place in the European Union and an iconic photo at the expense of the Chicago Tribune. If they’re right, this might be one of the last nights out we have before we wake up November 9 captive to a vengeful trucker cap army of Duck Dynasty nationalists.
Either way, what better reason to get together with friends and have a laugh. Won’t you join us?
